ABOUT DISTRICT COURT

Bomdila is the headquarter of West Kameng district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India. Bomdila is one of the 60 constituencies of the state of Arunachal Pradesh. It has an average elevation of 2415 meters (7923 feet).

The Court of the District & Sessions Judge, West Kameng, was established in the year 2019. The territorial jurisdiction of the court is extended up to Tawang District in the North and East Kameng and Pakke-Kesang Districts in the East. Shri Gote Mega, was the first District & Sessions Judge, West Kameng. Before the establishment of District and Sessions Court, it was designated as Additional District and Session Court and was established in the year 2013 with Shri Yomge Ado as the first Additional District and Sessions Judge. Altogether, the establishment of the District and Sessions Judge & the Chief Judicial Magistrate comprise of both Civil/Criminal Courts manned by Judicial Officers of various grades.
